Who is the service for?
The Camden and Islington Wheelchair Service supplies wheelchairs to children and adults in need. To be eligible for a wheelchair, you must have a long-term mobility problem that will last for six months or more and be registered with a GP in either Camden or Islington.
How are clients referred to the service?
You can be referred to the service by your GP or by another health professional. This could be a consultant, nurse, physiotherapist, occupational therapist or social worker.
What does the service offer?
We offer free maintenance and repair for wheelchairs provided by the service. If you already use one of our wheelchairs but it no longer meets your needs, you can contact the team for a review.
