What does the service do?
The School Health service promotes the mental, physical health and social wellbeing of children, young people and families within the community. It provides practical help and advice to the whole family.

Where are we based?
Our School Health Advisory teams are based at a number of health centres across Islington. They work from all the primary, secondary schools and pupil referral units in Islington. Special schools are covered by the special schools team based at each school.
Who are we?
Schoold Health Advisers (school nurse) are registered nurses, who have had further training in public and child health. They acts as a key professional in the co-ordination of information between child, parent or carer, health, education, social services and the voluntary sector.
Healthcare Assistants assist the school nurse and are trained to carry out health assessments.
School doctors are specialists in child health, who are available for specific medical advice to help your child.
