About GPs
Local doctors or general practitioners (GPs), provide an essential service for all local people. They are the first port of call for many people when they develop a health problem. They provide many services, such as:
- General health advice and treatment
- Vaccinations
- Contraception and maternity services
It is important to be registered with a GP as they can also help you gain access to specialist hospital and community health services if you need them.
Out of hours
If you need to see a doctor or access medical care at the weekend, on bank holidays or between 6.30pm-8am Monday - Friday, you can contact Harmoni, the out of hours GP provider. Call 020 7388 5800 for more information.
