Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)
CAMHS is a mental health service for children and adolescents in Islington. We provides high-quality, specialist and multi-disciplinary assessment and treatment services for young people who may be experiencing a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties or suffering from psychiatric disorders.
We work closely with other local services and provide advice and consultation to professionals who are concerned about a child or young person’s mental health.
Our service is organised into six areas:
- Adolescent Outreach Team
- Child and Family Consultation Service
- Community Child and Adolescent Psychology Service
- Education Service
- Looked After Children Team
- Simmons House Adolescent Unit
We operate a duty system during office hours and a staff member is available to discuss and advise about child mental health issues.
